The beautiful St Mildred’s bay is located in the heart of Westgate and is a beach of immense natural charm and beauty. It is a lovely sandy beach with a promenade, cliffs and a delightful tidal pool.

The beach lies to the west of the main town of Margate, and the nearest train station is Westgate on Sea. St Mildred’s bay is often compared to Minnis Bay as during a high tide, both have only a little beach remaining.

Visitors here can enjoy a range of activities including a putting green and tennis courts. You can also find a choice of pubs and restaurants close by where you can head to for a drink or meal.

Facilities at St Mildred’s bay include seasonal lifeguards, toilets, beach shop, nearby parking and disabled access to the beach and also disabled toilets.
